Private housing developed for local resident to generate rental units in an area where families are currently under-served. The project was treated as a prototype addressing both modular construction and cost-effective low maintenance building. The goal is to create an efficient three-bedroom unit within the floor plate of a standard two-bedroom triple-decker. To address cost restrictions, modular construction was targeted early in the process, which was incorporated into the design process and generated efficient space relationships to respond to dimensional limitations.
