Dighton-Rehoboth High School [Green Innovation Lab]

This project reinterprets the traditional classroom structure and proposes an innovative new design by renovating the 1-story wing of the regional high school into a Green Innovation Lab learning center.  This unique design generates a framework where students can be trained for an array of growing Green Technology, Energy & Environment and Sustainability careers. To encourage a collaborative and dynamic learning environment, the new living laboratory and classroom space will be composed of multiple learning centers and will incorporate innovative building science strategies, as well as an ecologically landscaped outdoor learning space and gardens, with the intent to engage students with their surrounding environment and inspire numerous interactive learning opportunities. The proposed facility will be one-of-a-kind in the Commonwealth and will provide a unique educational and career exposure opportunity.
