This was a complete gut renovation of a charming 1860’s Victorian garden home. The house had been significantly altered into a 3-family in the 1930’s and poorly maintained. The house was completely updated with a highly insulated envelope, new energy efficient system including a control energy recovery ventilation system. The areas of the home that had been destroyed were replaced with contemporary interiors while the historic architectural elements were rejuvenated. The focus was on strong daylight and positive ventilation combined with a strong connection to an exterior courtyard.
