Total rehab construction of a historic building in Jamaica Plain, MA after fire damage. Twenty-two units were constructed using the existing historic masonry building shell with all new life safety systems. The scope of work including extensive exterior envelope analysis and renovations to maintain the lifespan of existing historic elements while improving energy efficiency. Significant masonry improvements included repointing, replacement, cornice renovation, and sill and lintel renovations. The renovation also included the incorporation of new mechanical systems on the roof and penetrations for improved energy efficiency.
